一般來說，在正常情況下，油的損失不是很大，但很可能造成污染并失去保護柴油機的作用。在柴油發(fā)動機運行期間，許多污染物（由燃料的不完全燃燒產生的煙灰，焦炭和水垢）將進入油中。對于新機器或大修機器，測試運行后會有更多雜質。如果僅在不更換的情況下使用，則很容易造成諸如燒磚和固定軸之類的事故。
